CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - Former Miami Hurricanes Ottis Anderson, Don Bosseler, Bernie Kosar and Burgess Owens were selected for induction into the Ring of Honor, the school's football hall of fame.

The four players will have their names and jersey numbers permanently affixed on the face of the Orange Bowl's upper deck.

"They have distinguished themselves during their careers and are among the many outstanding players that we are proud to call Hurricanes," athletic director Paul Dee said.

Anderson (1975-78) is the school's all-time leading rusher with 3,331 yards. Bosseler (1953-56) played fullback for the Hurricanes and had 1,642 career rushing yards.

Kosar (1982-84) guided Miami to its first national title in 1983. He was instrumental in earning the school the reputation as "Quarterback U." Kosar still holds Miami single season records for attempts (416), completions (262) and passing yards (3,642).

Owens (1970-72), the only defensive player selected this year, registered 160 tackles, eight interceptions and three fumble recoveries as a defensive back.

The Ring of Honor was established in 1997. This will be the second class inducted.
